Stockyard Valley is situated on the Warren Family Farm in Coles Creek, where the family settled in 1916. Fred Warren acquired a cream run from the Stapleton Family, eventually growing the fleet to four trucks and introducing the first truck transporting milk from Pomona to Gympie. He also operated a cattle truck transporting both livestock and people travelling in the same direction, delivering bread and meat on his way home. Fred and his wife Doreen operated and expanded the farm while raising their three children, and when the dairy industry was deregulated it transitioned to a beef farm as it stands today.
